The destination

For Greek Islands yacht charter with Onyx, the working base is Corfu in the Ionian Islands. From there, the natural week runs through nearby Paxos and Antipaxos: short crossings, sheltered swimming bays, and harbour stops that suit mixed groups and families without forcing long open-water days. Further south, Lefkada, Kefalonia and Ithaca open up a wider Ionian itinerary if you have the time and want more variety between green islands and quieter overnight berths. The Cyclades are a different Greek cruising area altogether - more exposure, often stronger summer meltemi, and a different rhythm around islands such as Mykonos and the smaller stops beyond. Our Greek yachts are based in Corfu, so Ionian routes are what we plan first; Cyclades charters are discussed as a separate brief rather than as an extension of a Corfu week. May to October is the usual season, with June to September the busiest.
